DESCRIPTION: On behalf of the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living (LVCIL), I would like to introduce our upcoming, award winning, “Fishing and Fun in the Park” event, which is a one-of-a-kind community fishing event held in partnership with the City of Allentown Parks and Recreation Department.
“Fishing in the Park” is a free community event open to anyone. It was created through a partnership with LVCIL and the Allentown Parks and Recreation Department as a way for people with disabilities to get outside and experience the great outdoors. Last year, more than 1000 people attended our free community fishing event, and we expect to match or double that number for this year!
The Lehigh County Fish and Game Protective Services will be stocking more than 300 donated fish in the Little Lehigh Creek for this event. The best part is that no fishing license is required and we have many donated fishing poles to lend to inexperienced anglers.
Once again, vendors such as, the Lehigh Valley Zoo, Wildlands Conservancy and other environmental education groups will all be bringing animals and will have information available on conservation. Groups like Sappi Paper, Blue Mountain, Mass Mutual will be there as vendors. We hope you can join the event as a vendor and meet the diverse groups that attend this event.
Arts and crafts vendors wanted with handcrafted items only!
Antiques and collectibles vendors and dealers wanted.
Non-profit organization vendors wanted.
We are looking for outdoor recreation and sports vendors. Conservancies, recreational areas, priivate camping, sports groups, hunting, fishing, sports clubs such as soccer, frisbee golf, etc.
