DESCRIPTION: Marietta Day is the annual tradition in the town of Marietta. Market Street is closed to traffic for the day as thousands of visitors shop for “attic to cellar” bargains, hunt for antique and craft gems, eat delicious food, and listen to music.
The Artisan’s Corner is a new feature of the 2018 Marietta Day. This is a section specifically and only for local artists and makers who do not have a storefront, and would like to sell their product. This event will include a variety of artists displaying a wide array of beautifully-crafted products, including visual art, hand-crafted furniture, upcycled designs, and pottery.
Calling all artists! This is an opportunity to show off your talent, pocket some money, and let people find out about you and your craft. Bring your business cards too.
The Artisan’s Corner will only be at the west end of the Marietta Day street fair, and will include spaces on the street, and inside spaces at the Marietta Community House, as well as a few outside spaces in the lawn and on the porch. (For those of you who are local and frequent attenders of Marietta Day, it will be at the corner of Market and Perry Street.)
Marietta Day is a well-established event of more than 25 years and attracts hundreds of visitors. These displays and tables are located on the streets in our extended business area; these streets are closed to traffic.
