The Penns Colony Festival is an annual event usually held the last two full weekends in September.

- Located 35 minutes north of Pittsburgh via Route 28, Exit 16.

DESCRIPTION: Experience the excitement of Pennsylvania’s Early American history at the annual Penn’s Colony Festival and Folk Art Marketplace the last two weekend in September. Rain or shine, the family-oriented event will be held on 12 acres of easy walking, tree-lined grounds at Penn’s Colony Village in Saxonburg, Butler County (just minutes north of Pittsburgh.)
The event recreates a bustling colonial village complete with battle re-enactments, live Irish, English and Scottish music performances, and other entertainment reminiscent of the historic French and Indian War period.
In the marketplace, more than 185 juried craftsmen and artisans will showcase a variety of quality, handmade-in-America contemporary and traditional works for the home and garden, seasonal decorations, gifts and personal accessories.
There will also be horse-drawn surrey rides, food booths, sing-a-longs, and demonstrations of various trade and home crafts such as blacksmithing, tin-punching, needle arts and glass-blowing.
Admission: Adults (ages 16-59) $8, Senior Citizens (age 60+) $6, Children (8-15) $5, Children 7 years old and younger are free.

Arts and crafts vendors wanted.
Penns Colony focuses on bringing the family together and showing them a little history. All the vendors dress in Colony clothing and they demonstrate their craft. We are looking for experienced craftsmen that would like to showcase their craft to the next generation.
