(Bucks County Pennsylvania Craft Shows, Vendor Fairs, Festivals.)
DESCRIPTION: Newtown Market Day is a free, outdoor craft fair for all ages that celebrates the colonial tradition of local farmers and homesteaders bringing their crops, livestock and homemade wares into town to sell to neighbors and townspeople. It is our proud tradition to feature high-quality crafters, artisans and fine artists offering hand-made and upcycled goods and antiques for sale; colonial-era recreations of trades; Revolutionary war reenactments; children’s activities and a puppet show; farm stands; local musical talent; a popular used book sale from our local library; and food from local restaurants and bakeries.
For more than 40 years, this annual event has been organized by volunteers, and all vendor fees directly support the Newtown Historic Association. Free parking is available on the street or in municipal lots around town.
We also welcome people who re-enact colonial-era crafts or trades, such as wood carvers, iron workers, ribbon makers, tailors, either for demonstration and education only, or for show and sell. (Wearing colonial attire is strongly requested for colonial reenactors / demonstrators.) Applications for various levels of participation are available on our website.
