The Hydref – a Fall Festival and Market Faire

DESCRIPTION: Some of buildings and activities at the Depreciation Lands Museum site include a main building, school house, log cabin, blacksmith shop of the 18th Century Period, with demonstrators (potter, blacksmith, bee keeper, weavers and more.) Children’s area with games and crafts. Food. A family event!
Hydref, which means “autumn”, in Welsh, was named to commemorate the Welsh heritage of some of our early settlers. Help to make fresh cider, see wool dyeing and spinning, taste treats from the bake oven, get a delicious homemade lunch in the Tavern and shop at the 18th Century craft vendors.
Food vendors wanted to serve food at our event (concessionaires, food truck.)
No modern crafters. Demonstrators of 18th century crafts wanted.
Types of crafts wanted: quality handmade items, Early American handmade arts and crafts, Sutlers, Purveyors, displays and demonstrators of 18th goods and artifacts. All spaces outside on the grounds require 18th Century attire (18th Century attire is optional for indoor spaces). Spaces with table are $15. Fee is waived for costumed demonstrators of an historical craft.
