Latimore Valley Fair
WHEN: Friday, Saturday and Sunday – June 28, 29 & 30, 2019 (35th annual)
Friday 6PM to 10PM, Saturday 9AM to 10PM, Sunday 9AM to 4PM
The Latimore Valley Fair is an annual event usually held the fourth weekend in June.
DESCRIPTION: Summer just wouldn’t be summer without the annual Latimore Valley Fair…a true country festival where the new mingles with the old during three days of old fashion fun and entertainment.
Admission, parking and shuttle are free.
The Eastern Museum of Motor Racing (EMMR) sponsors this fair, along with local businesses and individuals. For 34 years dedicated volunteers and organizations have made this fair a success.
Friday, June 28th, the Ruffled Feathers Parrot Rescue will be present displaying an assortment of their rescue birds from 4PM to 8 PM. Then the antique tractor parade is at 6PM and the country and classic rock band “Bootleg” will play from 6:30 to 10PM.
Saturday, June 29th a full day of activities, including breakfast from 8 to 11AM by the local Lake Meade Cub Scouts. Antique race car registration starts at 9AM; the cars will be on the track from noon to 3PM. Immediately following track time will be tricycle racing for the young fair goers and their families. Down the other end of the campsites, tractor pulls will begin at 9AM and run until everyone gets their turn.The Carroll County 4H Rabbit and Cavy club are bringing their obstacle course-trained bunnies and will have a petting area with an assortment of animals from 10AM to 4PM. The Ruffled Feathers Parrot Rescue will be present from 10AM to 6PM. The antique tractor parade starts at 4:30PM. The entertainment this evening will be “Border Line” playing new and classic country music from 5PM to 10PM.
Sunday, June 24th, the scouts serve breakfast again from 8AM to 11AM. We will be having a “Cruise-In” from 10AM to 4PM. There will be special parking in the pit area for those in their Classic Cars, Muscle Cars, Street Rods, and Drag Racing Cars to enjoy the power blues trio “Mighty Klucks” who will play from 12:30PM to 3:30PM. The antique tractor parade will squeeze in the schedule at noon then the tractor pulls will be held beginning at 1PM until they’re finished. At 2 PM there will be cackling thunder with drag car start-ups; bring your ear plugs! Cruise-In awards will be held at 4PM.
All weekend there will be crafts, games, bingo, entertainment, duck races, good food, tractor parades and displays, antique cars, and cruise-in. What more do you need!
The Eastern Museum of Motor Racing and the Museum Gift Shop will be open during the fair. Plan to spend some time enjoying these free exhibits..
Any and all types of vendors wanted.
Food vendor spots are filled for 2019.
